This Is It

It's been almost a week in Singapore. Last night, me and hubby went to Cathay to watch "Michael Jackson's This Is It" and unexpectedly, I enjoyed the movie. I'm not a fans of MJ, not even close. But I felt touched by the way he tried to get the perfection of every scene and the way he treated and appreciated others. He was very humble and nice to everyone! Now I know why people love him.

Well (besides I have no intention), it's already late to be his fans anyway. He has passed away. But I think his professionalism and his kindness could be a good example for other superstars.

Btw, tomorrow we have to go back to Suwon. Anyaaang! :D

Autumn in Suwon

I think i'm in love with autumn. Its leaves color, its dried leaves smell, its weather, and ofcourse its fashion trend. :)

Ps. That picture is absolutely not what I meant with "autumn fashion trend". That's just a picture of me enjoying the autumn. :D

Another Late Update

I'm not that senile to realize that I haven't posted anything here for awhile. I was just too busy with my lebaran holiday and my books. Besides Perahu Kertas, Negeri 5 Menara, and Zaid bin Ziyadh, there's one book that absorbed my attentions. Rara Mendut. A trilogy of Rara Mendut, Genduk Duku, and Lusi Lindri, adapted from Kitab Babad Tanah Jawi by Y.B. Mangunwijaya.

For me who crazy about Javanesse Culture, this book is awesome, esp its aksara jawa philosophy. Not like other books that could be finished for 1~2 days, I read that thick book for more than a week. Brought that book here and there until its paper became rumpled and until my dentist became interest to read this book. :D

Btw, after a night 'transit' in Singapore, this morning I've arrived in Suwon. Came afterward hubby that has been here for a week. I couldn't go with him after lebaran because I still had to wait for my South Korea Visa. That visa approval gave me longer lebaran holiday in my hometown. ;;)

Well, see you later. I hope I'll write more often here to share stories like when I was a new blogger. :P

Happy lebaran, everyone! :)

Lazy Blogger

Excuse me for being a very lazy blogger. Here are some late updates from me within these two weeks :
  • Last Saturday, Sept 5, 2009, hubby has turned 28. We celebrated it privately with small birthday cake and celebrate again together on break-fasting time with tumpeng. Happy b'day, Love. Love me much more! :P
  • Here in Singapore, I met my old friends from Jember -Novrida, Dhana, and Mba Fitri-. We've already met twice for break-fasting. The first one was in Ojolali, Lucky Plaza, a day before hubby's b'day, and the second one was yesterday in La Pau Sat.
  • Today we attended 'buka bersama forum imas-sg' in Bishan. I met some new friends and one of them is her. I already like her & her blog. :)
  • Tomorrow hubby's gonna cook tahu telor asin for me. Can't wait! :D

Date

Last night me & hubby had thai food in Sakura Restaurant, Cityhall for break-fasting and continued to Max Brenner Chocolate Bar, Esplanade for having desert. I ordered chocolate suffle as a revenge of hubby's delicious chocolate suffle in Kupu-Kupu Barong on our honeymoon.

Well, actually the chocolates supposed to be main dish because the portion is large (besides we already had tomyam soup and pineapple rice). :D

We went home with a very full stomach till felt like couldn't walk.

Anyway, the feeling last night was like the feeling on our very 1st date. We talked about our passions, food, etc. Me was very happy! :)

Black Pepper Shrimp

Yesterday hubby requested black pepper shrimp for break-fasting and he gave me a recipe from kompas.com.
I read the recipe, added white onion & sugar to the ingredient, and voila, here is my black pepper shrimp.

Hubby said it's delicious and I did agree with him. :)

Short Update

Already in Singapore since yesterday. Got to back here earlier because the project had been dropped like what I said. Anyway, I enjoyed Seoul so much. Me and hubby started our ramadhan in Seoul on Saturday, a day after moslem in Seoul started their fasting -they started on Friday-. And together with hubby's Korean friends named Hyo and Subong, we had kimchi & korean chicken soup called samgyetang for break-fasting, complete with its ginseng.

Suwon & Seoul pictures will be shared here (or on my flickr) after unpacking-thingy. I'm sure it could show you more than any words I could write.

Happy fasting, minal aidin wal faidzin! :)

7th Day in Suwon

Disini lg summer, tapi Singapore & Surabaya are much hotter, jd ga terlalu ngefek buat gw. The bad thing is : suami gw dirodi sampai pagi tiap hari. Ditambah lagi most of penunjuk jalan dan tulisan-tulisan disini ditulis dengan Hangoel. Lengkap sudah kebutahurufan gw. Jadi tiap jalan-jalan, gw cuma bermodalkan map dan hafalan kata-kata sederhana seperti anyeong haseyo (halo), miyanneyo (maaf), sillyehamnida (permisi), gamsa hamnida (terimakasih), dll. Kl lupa, bahasa tarzanlah penggantinya. Hehehe..

Hihihi..

Well, hari ini gw mau coba ke market. Semalem udah hafalan angka-angka dan penyebutan nilai mata uang. Doakan gw yaaa..

17 August 2009

Happy Independence Day, Indonesiaku!

Lagu ini dicomot dari facebooknya Mba Astrid. Bagusss! Membangkitkan jiwa nasionalisme gw yg sedang jauh dari rumah. Dengerin, deh! ;)

Berkibarlah selama-lamanya, bendera bangsaku!

Jambore Sahabat Anak

The whole event was so fun. Rasanya 2 hari kemarin gw punya keluarga baru yg kompak & menyenangkan. For me, they are great people that still have spirit to share with others.

Acara jambore-nya sendiri sangat berkesan. Padat dan bermanfaat. Esp hari pertama dimana dimana adek-adek diajarkan untuk membuat lampion, membatik, membuat kerajinan mote, pembatas buku, dll. Everybody including me sangat antusias menyimak materi. Bahkan antusiasme gw masih kebawa sampai di rumah. Ga sabar nunggu wiken dateng untuk membuat lampion warna-warni yg lucu. Pictures are surely gonna be uploaded here. ;)

Kayanya 2 hari sama mereka masih kurang walaupun dalam 2 hari aja suara gw udah habis dan kulit gw jd gosong. It was really fun. Gosh, they made me miss my kids @Kampung Rawa. Trust me, you should try to join this event!

Terimakasih, Kak Simsim.
Terimakasih, Sahabat Anak.
Majulah terus, Anak Indonesia!

Selamat Hari Anak Nasional, 23 Jul 2009. :)
